Ark Welders Guild is the audio-visual performance and recording project of Berlin-based Italian singer and art curator Letizia Trussi and Canadian musician Scott Monteith, best known by his stage name Deadbeat. Combining Trussi's visual motifs of AI-generated content and Monteith’s road movies, the duo weave a complex web of poly-rhythmic audio-visual psychedelia spanning diverse genres and tempos. In Summer of 2023 they performed in major festival festivals such as Waking Life (PT), Ozora (HU) Houghton Festival (UK), and MUTEK Montréal (CA).

Gnosis Intel
Gnosis ( 'nō-səs ) is a Greek term that means 'knowledge' or 'awareness'.
It refers to an all-encompassing mystical understanding or intuitive knowledge of spiritual truths, often
gained through personal experience beyond the five senses and intellectual knowledge
‘GNOSIS INTEL’ marks the debut visual exhibition of Letizia Trussi, an Italian artist, singer, curator, and cultural activist based in Berlin. Comprising 15 still images extracted from real-time videos of her audio-visual project, Ark Welders Guild, in collaboration with Canadian musician Scott Monteith, aka Deadbeat. Crafted using the innovative pollinations.ai platform, these videos utilize AI models developed by researchers Thomas Haferlach and Alexandre Silveira among others.
In a time where AI-driven text, art, and music models fuel debates and societal concerns, this exhibition invites viewers to explore the profound outcomes of the interaction between human creativity and machine intelligence. It delves into the symbiotic relationship of exchanged data and ideas, revealing implemented visions, refined gestures, and creative paths that unfold in a process both poetic and revelatory.
The selection of images derives from two specific tracks: 'Skeleton Man' and 'The Drums of War.' Through experimentation and extensive dialogue with machine models, Trussi translates the essence of lyrics and music into the visual realm, enriching their significance on different perceptual levels. Revealed within the process are Trussi's interests in asemic writing, ancient anatomy texts, spiritual codices, and her creative exploration with paper, ink, and natural objects. These elements intertwine with her deeper questions about the interconnectedness of forms and movements across organic and inorganic systems.
The term 'INTEL' within the exhibition title refers to an expanded notion of intelligence, extending beyond the confines of human cognition to encompass the entire natural world and, as its extension, of the artificial world as well... It evokes associations with espionage, where virtual agents, guided by Trussi's adept hand (prompt), scour the depths of the Data Sphere to uncover hidden alignments. The evidence unearthed is then presented for viewers to contemplate an enigmatic realm of secret knowledge with their own eyes.
