Cosimo Miorelli is an Italian Berlin-based illustrator and live painter. He explores and mixes diverse graphic storytelling media: illustration, live painting, animation, comics and traditional painting. His research currently focuses on live performances and multimedia storytelling, including theatre productions and animated videos for museums and documentary films.
A-Live º Narration hosts his established collaboration with Israeli musician and producer Marchissio (aka Mark Pinhasov).
Accompanying the evolutions of the story, the multi-instrumentalist weaves together guitars, drums and other percussions, synths, pedals and loops… All rearranged in electronic soundscapes and soundtracks of Middle Eastern flavour.
Brush and guitar, stroke after stroke, shape the narration and carry us into a state of enlightened presence.
Together Miorelli and Marchissio revisit the myth of Jonah in a modern key, following the character’s perilous journey and reinterpreting the Biblical parable through a storyline that echoes themes of migration and impressions of lives fleeing towards new opportunities - metaphors and allegories, arranged to create a reflective story about conflict, compassion, atonement, and hope.
The event opens with a DJ set by Oscar der Winzige - attentive collector, brilliant curator, and a storyteller himself, whose selections transport the listener to another musical planet.

A-Live º NARRATION is the second event of the A-Live series, which took off in the summer of 2022 with the performance of Vincent Moon and Daniela Huerta, supported by the DJ opening act of e/tape.
The third episode - A-Live º INTERACTION - will take place at gART.n on September 1 and will showcase the collaboration between the generative art collective Pollinations.ai and the band Center for Mind and Brain.
A-Live is curated by Rooms of Kairos, with the support of gART.n, Gaswerksiedlung Berlin, and Nomadenkino.
