Studio 28 and Rooms of Kairos are excited to host and curate Olivia Descampe’s retrospective exhibition, and unravel the different phases and discoveries marking her 6-years of practice in paper art.

At first, Olivia moves in the classic perimeter of collage, yet always with bold results and subtle elements of surprise - bringing spice into a balance.

Later on in her practice, every step simply becomes illegal, as the artist appears to uncover ever new levels and layers by ripping, melting, scraping, subtracting, engraving.

Thin worlds, to which Olivia possesses a key. Yet she chooses to enter by breaking the windows and the walls, cracking them open to explore in depth their secret nature, endemic textures, and hidden consistencies.
